Other Adventures:
| The Car Ride/Dance Party the entire way to Driggs! |
| Chillin |
Then the ride home was just as exciting added with some adventure! Traffic was so bad that my fhe brother (Drew) decided to plug in his GPS a different route home so we could avoid all the cars since it took us 45 minutes just to get out of the parking lot (but that was fun too because we just had a dance party the entire time we were waiting and the car that was perpendicular to us flashed their lights on us so it was like a strobe light, it was great!) Anyways, the GPS literally took us to the back country of Idaho and we were in the middle of no where. At one point we came to a fork in the road and we could choose to go right (a bike path) or left (a four wheeling trail)...we chose left. We then got stopped by a little river, Drew ended up getting out of the car to measure how deep it was to make sure his car could go through it. Well we kept going. It was very sketchy sketch but so fun! And the stars were amazing out there...we could see the milky way! Then out of no where this little four wheeling path shot us out to the highway, it was crazy, but so fun!
4th of July!
The actual 4th of July I attended the Rexburg parade and can I just say that small towns now how to celebrate! This was one of the longest but entertaining parades I have ever been too. It lasted about an hour and 45 minutes. I ended up sitting next to the Riggins and I think that added into why it was so entertaining. Some of my favorite things in the parade consisted of: tractors J, a big grocery basket for Broulims, the little girl's dance teams, and the car wash company. It was great! After the parade a group of us went down to Porter Park to see what booths were set up. We didn't stay too long but just walked around and enjoyed each other's company.
Independence night was so great...my FHE group and some others joined us went to Wade's house in Idaho Falls and had a BBQ. It was so great to be in a home, and Wade has the most amazing house I have ever seen...I would call it a mansion. He has a volleyball/basketball court in his house! So of course we played around in there. We also played Ultimate Frisbee in his backyard and then headed to the fireworks! Idaho Fall's fireworks are supposedly the biggest firework show on this side of the mississippi, but honestly I wasn't too impressed...they were way good and I'm glad I went but Saturday's firework show blew me out of the water so I think I was expecting the same thing. It maybe also had to do with the fiasco of finding a spot and pleasing everyone in my group and so once we finally made a decision and the fireworks started we had to move anyways because a huge tree was in our way. haha. We got a good laugh out of it. But I don't know if I would ever do it again, but that's only because personally I felt like the Driggs show was much more worth it. But it was still fun! What a great Independence day weekend!
