Tiempo de Verano!

The adventures of my summer all started as I flew into Mexico City on April 27th. I participated in BYU-Idaho's Meso-America tour where we traveled Mexico, Guatemala, and Belize for 4 weeks. Saw some amazing things, experienced the culture, learned many life lessons and ate great food! Wouldn’t give up that opportunity for anything.

Now that I am back in the states I have continued my adventures as I decided to take a job in Rexburg Idaho for the summer working full time on the BYU-Idaho campus. I am working as an office assistant in the Information Technology Department. It has been a huge learning experience for me and I have gained a lot of knowledge and experience in the office setting. Although it can be a little boring at times as I am surrounded by all the IT guys or should I say nerds…they do add a different humor to my life. For example, the other day our office got all their light switches changed to the automatic ones. So if there is no movement in their offices then the lights will turn off automatically. Well, IT guys don’t really move a whole lot since they just start at their computer screens all day. So every 5 minutes the lights would turn out on them. Although they all were getting frustrated by this, I think it’s good for them, makes them move a little bit and get some exercise by having to wave their hands around every few minutes. Too bad the electricians came to change the timer on the lights today.

OTHER SUMMER ADVENTURES:

While I was home I went to the Spanish Branch and got the courage to bear my testimony in Spanish. I also went to their FHE at the Mormon Battalion Visitor Center.

Sister De La Cruz served in the Spanish Branch (La Mesa 3rd Ward) and became such a great friend. I actually went on the Meso-America Tour with her brother and sister-in-law.

Cool Tractor Picture I wanted to add...This was on Bear Lake. So Great!

Been boating and almost got up on the wake board.

Spent the 24th of July in Bear River City…ran the 5k, ate a delicious breakfast my grandma made, and ate all my grandparents raspberries in their garden. I love Bear River City!
