So to recap on what has been going on this very cold winter semester:
I am currently in my senior year and not sure how I feel about this, I'm ready to be done with school but on the other hand I'm not, I love learning! I could be a student for life, but can't wait for the day that I can take what I have learned hear and benefit other people.
This semester I am involved with BYU-Idaho service activities as a seasonal coordinator. I absolutely love it! I just did a service project this past weekend that is called SnowFest and had a great turn out of volunteers. Although it was a lot of work it was totally worth it. Service is absolutely amazing! And I love the people I work closely with in this program, they have so much to offer. My job has also kept me pretty busy this semester, we got a new secretary that is doing great and I have been given some other responsibilities. It can get stressful at times because of the amount of time I put into my job and to have school on top of that, but it is a great experience working there and will provide me with more opportunities in the future. I just planned an IT appreciation dinner for this Friday, which I can't wait for it to be over, but glad I could be the one to put it together to show how much I, along with my boss, appreciate the IT department. It will be a great night with really good food! Also, thanks to Joe I wont be going alone either! For this dinner all the IT directors and their spouses are invited and since all the IT directors are married, I would have been the only one flying solo. My boss informed me though I needed to find a date. I didn't think this would be such a hard thing, but it took me awhile to figure out who to ask since I lost my one good friend and I definitely did not want to be set up for a blind date from one of the directors (believe me they offered). I'm so grateful Joe was willing to drive from pocatello to have dinner with me and not leave me stranded in a potentially awkward situation. He is truly a brother to me and it's nice to have someone I can always rely on.
A couple of weeks ago was my birthday...I am feeling really old. I had a great weekend though. One of my good friends from San Diego surprised me and came to rexburg, I went ice skating, my sister made me a yummy breakfast and decorated my office, I had a huge birthday party, and tons of people wished me happy birthday. I couldn't have asked for anything more. I'm very appreciative of everything people did for me to make my day special and put a smile on my face!
I have been so blessed this semester with such great roommates! We have so much fun, maybe too much fun together! Some of our favorite activities consist of: jamming out to the guitar, laughing, trying to figure out quotes for our quote wall, eating, and laughing!
Anyways, it is time for me to continue studying for my Microbiology test, actually it is almost time for me to leave the library and enter the cold winter wonderland of Rexburg to go back to my apartment! Life is great! Peace out!
