August is coming to a close and September is about to start. This summer break went by so fast and I’m sad to see it go but happy to start my last semester at BYU-Idaho. I’m getting really ready for that next step in life but also nervous at the same time since I have no clue what I will be doing. I have a lot of ideas but nothing set in stone, but that’s how my life is I guess, nothing is ever concrete. I have been seriously looking into going to Uganda once I graduate; today I e-mailed the lady who I want to work with and now just anticipating her reply. It has always been one of my goals and dreams to go to Africa and I decided that this is the best time in my life to go, if it is the Lord’s will.
There have been so many things running through my mind lately and as I woke up at 2am this morning to thunder and rain pounding on my window I couldn’t help but think how blessed I am. Summer thunderstorms are one of my absolute favorite things and as I was lying in my bed listening to the storm I couldn’t help but think how great life is, it was definitely a tender mercy for me. I went to the temple this morning with my ward at 5:30 and as I was leaving I could see in the distance the storm moving as the lightning shot across the sky, it was amazing!
Well, that’s all I have for now. I’ll have to update and post some pictures of my San Diego trip later, it was so great to be with family last week!
