Yesterday I woke up and thought 'what a great day it is', the weather was so nice maybe even on the warmer side. I thought to myself that after work I want to go on a bike ride. Well, by the end of the workday a storm had rolled in and it was pouring rain. My roommates and I decided to go out to the Idaho Falls Temple to do Baptisms since the Rexburg temple is closed and as we were driving we saw an amazing lightening storm, it was really neat. That is also one of my favorite things in the summertime to add to my raspberry post...lightening and thunderstorms! The lightening last night lit up the entire sky and we had the best view of it on the freeway.
Visiting the Idaho Falls Temple last night was so fun, I love all the elderly people that work there. This temple has a different feel to it compared with the Rexburg Temple, both good. There was no one else there to do baptisms by the time we got there so I got the privledge of doing some family names for one of the temple workers. I love the temple! The spirit there is just so great and the things I learn there are amazing! It was also fun to go as roommates all together.
After we got back from the temple we made cookies and watched 1st Harry Potter since I have gotten so into that series this break. I have never read the books so I decided that since I have a 7 week break I would read them all. I am currently at the end of the 2nd book. I want to watch each movie after I read the book. It's so great! Hogwarts have become a part of my world, somewhere where I can escape from myself...I've become such a nerd, but I love it! There was only una problema...our dvd does not have the cords needed to hook up to our T.V. so after comtemplating what we were going to do, we all decided to huddle around a laptop and watch it. It probably was such a great scene to see...four girls in the living room huddle around the coffee table with the computer on it with a pan of no bake cookies on the ground as we scooped them with measuring spoons because our other utensils were in the dishwasher. Plus the lights were all out so no one could see the cookies they were eating and they had not completely hardened yet. It was quite an entertaining night and so worth it!
